Stephanie Droemer

Spaces

Inspired by the Sylvia Plath poem, ‘Spinster’, Stephanie Drömer’s ‘Spaces’ merges Plath’s “heart’s frosty discipline” and “scrupulously austere order” with delicacy and sensibility. Both narratives deal very differently with emotional void and the urge to be filled. Through Spaces, Drömer invites the viewer to reconnect the loose ends and complete the emptiness in their own way.
